Independent and expert advice to determine the cost and ROI of whether upgrade or replace communication system
The Group approached G3 for a communications review as they were planning to transfer their legacy Nortel PBX system to their new offices in Canary Wharf. The review demonstrated that as well as posing a significant future risk to the business, moving the legacy system would be a false economy.
G3 analysed the cost and ROI of moving the legacy Nortel PBX to Canary Wharf, and recommended installing a new Avaya Aura system. The Aura solution uses a virtualised Avaya server, putting all of TEG’s telephony applications into a 1U server, using less space and less power than their legacy PBX. G3 also recommended deploying the Avaya One-x Communicator to reliably improve home and remote working.
G3 continues to support The Economist Group with on-going network monitoring, support and maintenance services.
“We were expecting the old Nortel system to be more cost efficient but G3 proved new Avaya solution had better ROI, and provided productivity through improved system functionality, plus the on-going cost savings benefits with SIP connectivity. It was an essential exercise for us to go through”
“We now have a simpler system that takes up less space, uses less power and delivers environmental benefits too. G3’s help has been invaluable in achieving this”
